Cowboy Party

YEEHAW!! I am in absolute love with this cowboy party from Kelly Allison Photography!! I needed some of these "muses" last year when planning Madison's Western Toy Story party!
LOVE the apple juices in screen printed muslin gold rush bags!! Also love that breakfast was served.
Trail mix in mini lunch bags and tied with twine.
My absolute favorite is the cheesy grits in 4 oz coffee cups & wooden forks put on with fabric tape! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!
Steer Head picks cut from black card stock. Love the details of the "fools gold" by using gold sanding sugar.
This talented momma even hand made the hobby horses! REALLY?? AMAZING! All the little cowboys got their screen printed loot bag full of goodies! AWESOME job!! Love all the details!

Operation Shower Sunshine Safari Behind the Scenes

Today I want to share with you my behind the scenes photos of Operation Shower Sunshine Safari. Although, there are some beautiful pictures from the professional photographers, I want to share my view of the event. I loved being a part of something so special.

Operation Shower began in March 2007, when LeAnn Morrissey, looking for a way to give back to her uncle who was deployed overseas, was asked to send a card to 4 women who were expecting babies while their spouses were deployed. LeAnn decided to try to do much more for these families. She set out with family and friends to send a “shower in a box” to the four military families who were expecting babies while the husband was deployed. The overwhelming support she received putting these boxes together and the messages of thanks she received from these moms left her with little doubt that this was something worth doing — over and over again! She joined with Kris Jackson, to hold the first unit-wide shower at Ft. Bragg, NC in June 2007. From that point forward, they made it official and Operation Shower was born! Amazing! So many times people have an idea but never see it to fruition. Thank you LeAnn for blessing so many military families.
Project Nursery sponsored a very special photo booth area with photos by The Pixel Studio. All the mothers were able to take home a special "bump" photo. When I first saw this, I seriously had to fight back tears. It was so special and such a meaningful memory for these special women.
This soldier was getting ready to deploy.
The shower in full swing.
Shower event was filled with good food~ Carl's Jr was a sponsor!! YUMMY!
Sweets table by Sweets Indeed. Marie is AMAZING!! Plus all of the wonderful vendors who donated their delicious desserts!
Great speakers and entertainment.....oh my how did that get in there??
Aaron was amazing! He was the GO TO guy! He handled each problem with such calmness and kept an awesome and pleasant demeanor. Please if anyone with some power is reading this.....give this man a promotion!!
The beautiful women in the long dress is Amy Belle Isle, who is the founder of Stem Parties. Amy is the Chief Event Organizer of Operation Shower and is responsible for the awesome party planning related to the unit-wide showers and Operation Shower fundraisers. Words cannot express how much respect and admiration I have for Amy. She is sweet to the core and has such a giving heart. My love language (Gary Chapman's book 5 Love Languages - a must read) is Acts of Service so this is my kind of friend.
I love no matter how famous Jennifer of HWTM is~she got right down on the ground with the rest of us and worked so hard. She had just had a baby a few weeks earlier! Can't wait to see her television show.....I believe in the power of spoken word! When it happens, can I be a guest, or in the audience, bathroom attendant....something? The Safari shop~ this is just a portion of items donated by such generous donors!
Moms were treated with an amazing array of gifts.
Beautiful and talented Kim from The TomKat Studio with an emotional mommy overcome by receiving so many wonderful gifts from the amazing donors. BTW, I love having a famous friend!
It's amazing what one person's vision has accomplished! It is so easy to say we love the military and feel horrible when we hear of tragedies that happen to our service members daily. But what are you doing about it? Now that you know of this organization will you get involved? I love the fact that Operation Shower has a gift registry on Amazon making it so easy for all of us to get involved. You can also go to their website and give a donation. Many blessings my friends and continued prayers to all of our deployed service members and their families!

Operation Shower Sunshine Safari

My table at Operation Sunshine Safari
So many of you have gotten on me about not blogging about my experience at Operation Shower Sunshine Safari shower in San Diego! I'm so sorry my peeps! I got back from my amazing trip and just got swamped with work and life. No excuse...I know! It was absolutely amazing and I was so blessed and honored to be selected as one of the 11 designers to participate in this amazing event! The event hosted by Operation Shower, Birdies for the Brave and the Farmers Insurance Open honored forty moms-to-be whose husbands were deployed or deployed sometime during their pregnancy with an amazing shower right on the 14th green of the Torrey Pines Golf Course. The event was presented by Datron World Communications, sponsored by Pottery Barn Kids, with support from Carousel Designs and Carl’s Jr. Many of my fellow talented and wonderful party girls have blogged about the event and wrote amazing posts!
My friend and fellow party planner Tonya from Soiree-Event Design posts were so amazing and with such details regarding the whole experience. When I read them I felt like I was reliving the whole experience again. Today, I want to share her blog post on the event and tomorrow I will share my experience and also links to my fellow designers posts on the shower. DIY Foil Flags

I'm loving these DIY foil flags I spotted over at The Sweetest Occasion.
I have never seen the self adhesive foil sheets before. I was looking for something like this last year for Madison's birthday party. I tried using aluminum foil but it was way too thin. URGH!
I love the fact that you can add words!Must add these cuties to my party repertoire!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Just like last year, Madison & I made green "shamrock" pancakes for breakfast.
Madison loves to cook and gets so excited when helping in the kitchen. I love it so!

Here is our "shamrock" pancake. My baby thinks it's wonderful and that's all that matters, right? Have a really happy GREEN day! As I told you on Facebook...I lost my IPhone yesterday so praying today I can locate it. I do believe there are many good people in this world so praying for a Good Samaritan!

Barbie Glam

It was so wonderful to get this Barbie Glam birthday party in my inbox. Not just because it was so cute with so many DIY personal touches but because it is from super talented mama Angie (I've featured several of her parties before). I just love seeing how her children have grown and there is a new little boy who has joined this precious family. Congrats! Party room all decked out in black, white and hot pink!

I love seeing these Barbie heads as an activity for the girls. This brought back so many childhood memories for me. Isn't this (parties) the whole reason we do what we do?? I know that I'm building special memories for Madison. I will not always be here and I want her to a have a ton of wonderful childhood memories to include the parties that I craft for her!

I have made purses out of cardstock before .... I love the added Barbie silhouette, bling and marabou fur!

Loving the color coordinated necklaces for the girls. Of course no glam party would be complete without a make up station.

Looks like someones cutting machine got tons of usage for this chic party! Adorable bag toppers.

Even custom hair bows.....too cute!

Make simple paper bags chic by adding coordinating party paper cut outs. I love that every party I've seen from Angie she does the photo banner of pics of the birthday child throughout the year. I always plan on doing this for Madison but never get the year pictures together. I really need to start now so I can have this special banner for her birthday this year. I love the black and white photos!

Happy Birthday Carissa ... I love watching you grow!

Casino Party

One of my best clients called me last week wanting a Casino theme dinner party in 6 days. I already had 2 other parties booked for the weekend....to include my Madison's Princess and the Pea breakfast party the next morning~ but how could I say no to my favorite client!! I love my job and my clients truly become my friends! I literally had to throw this dessert table together in a day. However, I love how it turn out! I saw the card garland idea on Hostess of the Mostess and it had a big impact for little time and money effort!

I love moving the chairs and using client's dining room tables as the buffet table. Just add pretty serving dishes and food becomes so beautiful!
See even crackers look "gourmet" in a nice dish! Real flowers are a must!
I made these dice vases (the day of) by spray painting a square vase white then adding black contact paper circles that I cut using my 2 inch round punch.
I love how the vases turned out.
I bought these foam dice a long time ago and didn't know what I would use it for so they sat in storage. I knew one day I would have a reason to use them! I couldn't pass them up ~ I think they were only a dollar! LOL
Of course no party of mine would be complete without cakepops from Heavenly Cakepops! I love the dice...don't you! I put them in a plastic popcorn container just covered up the word popcorn with a card. There was black jack, roulette and poker and I also hired a strolling magician and a magic show. It was an awesome night. I got home late and decided it best just to stay up and get ready for my Madison's Princess and the Pea breakfast party. I hope to share that party with you soon! I have been posting sneak peeks on Facebook though!
